The anniversary of the crimes at Ubork and Sutina was marked today in Mostar. According to the association of victims’ families and some war crimes researchers, in May 1992, members of the JNA and Serbian paramilitary formations, under the command of General Momčilo Perišić, forcibly took 114 civilians, Bosniaks and Croats, from the atomic shelter and homes in the Zalik settlement in Mostar.
The City Council of Mostar recently accepted the initiative of the Citizens’ Association of Civilian War Victims of Mostar and the Association of Families of Victims Killed in Ubork and Sutina to declare June 13 as the Day of Civilian War Victims of the City of Mostar.
No one has yet been held accountable for this crime.
