During the night, 36 BiH citizens were successfully evacuated from the Gaza Strip, while six people from the evacuation list did not appear at the Rafah crossing, Sabit Subašić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Egypt, confirmed for Anadolu.

“We are on our way to Cairo, after we finished evacuating 36 people from the list of 42 last night,” said Subašić.

He added that six people from the list, for whom the Israeli side approved the evacuation, did not appear at the Rafah crossing last night.

Subašić emphasized that in the coming period they will have the opportunity to cross the Rafah border, which the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to work on.

Evacuated citizens of BiH with their families are on their way to Cairo, where they will stay in a hotel for the next two days, and during that period solutions will be worked on for their arrival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Egypt sent a request for the evacuation of 54 people from Gaza, namely 29 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their close relatives. The Israeli side approved that 42 people from the mentioned list leave Gaza.
