13170633_1173448372706117_771424071_oAfter being introduced to the information by the Public Enterprise Motorways of FBiH, the FBiH Government supported the initiative to provide funds for the implementation of the Corridor 5C project on the subsection Nemila-Vranduk amounting to 36 million EUR with a loan from the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development.

The condition for this loan is that the loan effectiveness is related to the introduction of an additional excise tax on oil products amounting to 0.10 fennings per liter of fuel, in order to ensure the long-term debt sustainability of this enterprise and to alleviate risks for the budget of FBiH.

The Government accepted the information about this loan as a basis for negotiations.

The final decision on the credit, whose end borrower will be the enterprise Motorways of FBiH, will be reached upon the finalization of negotiations with KFAED. The information about negotiations and a text of a harmonized contract between BiH and KFAED will be submitted to the FBiH Government by the Ministry of Finance of FBiH. This Ministry will also deliver today’s conclusions to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH for the implementation of further procedure, stated the Public Relations Office of FBiH Government.
