The role of Sarajevo in Bosnian politics, culture and economy will be discussed by 40 scientists from the country and the world at the International Conference in Sarajevo, which will be held from 3rd to 5th of May, as announced from the International Forum Bosnia.
Municipality Stari Grad and the International Forum Bosnia, with the celebration of the Day of the Municipality Stari Grad, have organized the First International Conference “Sarajevo and the world”.
The three-day program includes the following activities:
– Open discussion on the topic of “Sarajevo in the literary aspects of Dževad Karahasan” on 3rd of May in the House of Armed Forces, starting at 19 o’clock
– The first scientific conference “Sarajevo and the world” on May 4th at the Hotel Europe, beginning at 9:30 o’clock
– Open discussion on the topic of “Sarajevo in the visual aspects of Safet Zec” on May 5th, Atelier of Safet Zec, beginning at 11 o’clock
Although really and symbolically Sarajevo always was and will be important phenomena of past and present world, in recent ideologically constructed representations such role of Sarajevo was denied and concealed.
‘’With its pluralistic culture that has survived even the hardest destructions, Sarajevo remained deposit and the vow of the future of B&H and whole world’’, as said among other things, in a statement of the International Forum Bosnia.
