Concert of the group Plavi Orkestar (Blue Orchestra) will be held today, August 18, after the closing of the Sarajevo Film Festival at 8 PM, in front of the Eternal Fire in Sarajevo. From 30,000 to 40,000 people are expected on this concert.

“This is a positive story of Sarajevo. “Plavi Orkestar” is recording a new project, and I am very glad that it is starting from Sarajevo. We could not choose a better term even if we wanted, the SFF is ending and there is a large number of tourists in the city. After the closing ceremony of the SFF, we will all come here and mark the end of the festival, as well as the beginning of an interesting project for Plavi Orkestar in the upcoming period, “said the director of the Sarajevo Tourist Board, Nermin Muzur.

Executive Producer of “Plavi Orkestar” Rijad Vojnikovic stated that the band will have a large concert in Belgrade on Biofest on Sunday, where they expect around 120,000 visitors.

“We had a strong need to start the tour in Sarajevo because we are a band from Sarajevo. That was a demanding project because we had only seven days for preparation, but all the government levels helped us,” said Vojnikovic.

“Plavi Orkestar” is the cult Sarajevo band, the winner of numerous awards, and its music is listened by all generations. The band will release a new album with two new singles this spring, after the tour.

The sponsors of the concert are the Tourist Association of Canton Sarajevo, Canton Sarajevo and the City of Sarajevo.
