The cadets of the 41st generation who successfully completed training for the rank of “policeman” at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina took the oath today in Sarajevo.

With that act and the signing of the contract, 195 of them, 16 of whom are women, joined the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, Admir Katica, told the new police officers that they are expected to act lawfully and impartially at every opportunity, and to respect and protect basic human rights without compromise.

“Only by acting like this do you gain the trust of fellow citizens, and your honorable police uniform respect,” pointed out Katica.

The Chairman of the Cantonal Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, appealed to police officers not to allow family, friends, politicians and businessmen to interfere in their work in the future.

He emphasized that the police are expected to be expert, professional, courageous and dedicated to their work, and principled in law enforcement.
