About 350 exhibitors will present at the jubilee 50th International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry – Plum Fair in Gradačac, which will be held from August 23 to 26, it was announced today at a press conference in the premises of the Chamber of Foreign Trade in Sarajevo.
Ensar Mešanović, head of the Tourist Office of the Tourist Board of Gradačac, which is the organizer of the fair, said that the exhibitors come from six countries – primarily from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, France, Croatia, Serbia and Turkey.
He explained that the fair space will be divided into units for agricultural production, food processing industry, and agricultural machinery and equipment.
“We are proud to say that the Plum Fair is an economic and tourist event and our best tourist product, and this year we also have a sub-fair event, the 6th “Bee” Beekeeping Fair in Gradačac,” said Mešanović.
He added that the “No Smoking” concert will be held on August 24, and invited all Bosnians and Herzegovinans to spend the end of their vacation in Gradačac.
FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić pointed out that the ministry will continue to support such manifestations through the “other support” model, because fair manifestations should gain more importance.
He sent an invitation to the largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina food industries to participate in the fair in Gradačac, but also in all other BiH cities that organize fair events.
The mayor of Gradačac, Edis Dervišagić, emphasized that the Plum Fair is more than just a fair event and that it represents a city celebration that all citizens and visitors enjoy.
