IMG_1875For the first time in the history of MESS International Theater Festival this year it will open spectacularly under the Old Bridge in Mostar, with the international co-production of Ireland, Slovenia and B&H called “Osvajanje sreće” directed by Haris Pašović.

The audience will see the spectacle managed by a team of nearly 200 people, and that raises the main question “Do we have the right to happiness?”. The play “Osvajanje sreće” is based on the book of Bertrand Russell and explores the theme of happiness and the question of who has the right to be happy. In addition to the director and screenwriter Haris Pašović, the writers are Emma Jordan and Damian Gorman.

At a press conference Dino Mustafić, the director of International Theater Festival MESS, Haris Pašović, the director of the play “Osvajanje sreće”, and the Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić are united in their assessment that it is very important that the MESS Festival opens in Mostar for the first time in history and with the question of the right to happiness in a post-conflict society.

B&H from 28th September to 7th October will be the center of performing arts in the Balkans. The festival will host 200 artists from 18 countries and 25 plays will be performed and many other events.
