6.1 Magnitude Earthquake off the Coast of Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck Indonesia’s Maluku province today, the country’s geophysics agency said.

The epicenter was at a depth of 163 kilometers (100 miles).

There is no immediate threat of a tsunami.
