Today, the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, together with the director of Public Enterprise Autoceste FBiH, Elmedin Voloder, visited the construction site of the Hranjen tunnel.

“Since at the last session of the FBiH Government on Thursday, we allocated a new 20 million BAM for the Hranjen tunnel, we came to see what it will be used for together with last year’s around 40 million BAM. Now around 60 million BAM are available for the continuation of the construction of the Hranjen tunnel, which it was never interrupted,” Novalić said.

He emphasized that they were satisfied with what they saw on the ground and that they were convinced that the works are now being carried out in a zone of more stable land.

“I don’t need to mention how important this is for the city of Goražde and the connection with Sarajevo, which was promised even in Dayton, and this government is now fulfilling it,” emphasized Novalić.

The representative of PE Autocesta FBiH Hranjen Samir Pirić said that they are satisfied that the Prime Minister came to the construction site of the Hranjen tunnel to familiarize himself with the works that are currently being carried out.

“For the problems we had in the previous period, we found design solutions, and we also informed the prime minister about the plans for the continuation of the works,” said Pirić.

Currently, as he added, the works provided for in the second contract are being carried out, the implementation of which runs until September of this year. According to him, the FBiH highways are preparing a new tender that will enable the continuation of the work in continuity, and the financial structure is closed for the next year as well.

“We still expect help from the Government and continued cooperation in the coming period. The dynamics of the work in this phase is at a satisfactory level and it is being done according to the approved methodology. So far there are no delays, given that the problems related to the emergence of water during the construction of this tunnel have been solved.” , Pirić added.
