70 Tennis Players from 20 Countries at the BH Telecom Sarajevo Open

ITF tournament BH Telecom Sarajevo Open 2015, which is rated for the ATP list, starts today in Sarajevo, organized by the Tennis Head Academy.

12 qualification matches will be played in parallel at four tennis courts in the sports complex Koševo, starting from 11 a.m today.

Ilya Kryvaruchka (BLR) – Marcel Duraek (BiH)

Robert Raguž (CRO) – Andrej Grubišić (BiH)

Faris Zukić (BiH) – Goran Radanović (BiH)

Court 2 from 11 a.m.

Admir Sudžuka (BiH) – Aleksandar Čurčin (SRB)

Aldin Traljić (BiH) – Josip Smoljan (CRO)

Patrik Sudić (CRO) – Amar Kubat (BiH)

Court 3 from 11 a.m.

Dušan Gajić (BiH) – Ognjen Trejgut (SRB)

Jovan Macić (MNE) – Ivan Ranđelović (BiH)

Volodymyr Kaszycki (UKR) – Karim Sultan (BiH)

Court 4 from 11 a.m.

Ante Zovko (CRO) – Mihailo Samardžija (BiH)

Yahor Kryvaruchka (BLR) – Stephen Fransen (NED)

Matteo De Vincentis (ITA) – Ante Marinčić (CRO)

Seventy players from 20 countries have applied, and many young Bosnian tennis players will try to reach the main tournament through the qualifications and join Nerman Fatić, namely a member of the Davis Cup national team of B&H, and Aziz Kijametović, who have already acquired the right to play in the main part of the competition.

BH Telecom Sarajevo Open 2015 is played within the ITF Tour as a part of a series of professional tennis tournaments held around the world in the organization of the International Tennis Federation. Points won at the ITF tournaments are scored in the ATP rankings, and their aim is to enable young tennis players to advance to the ATP Challenger Tour, and, finally, to perform at the ATP World Tour. Almost every professional player spent some time at the ITF Tour after the end of the junior career.

The qualifying matches will be played from 7th to 9th of June, the grand opening of the main part of the tournament is on Tuesday at 8 p.m., the final match is scheduled for June 14th at 3 p.m..

Along with numerous sponsors who supported the tournament, the sponsors are also the Municipality Centar and the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Sarajevo Canton.

The entrance for the public is free.
