At the European Union borders, as of today begins the implementation of new Schengen rules regarding passengers’ processing and all in order to prevent any threat to the internal security.
In addition to citizens of third countries, citizens of the EU will be checked as well, which could be the cause of additional and longer stay at the borders.
Systematic testing of all persons includes checking documents of passengers in the Schengen Information System, the Interpol database of stolen travel documents and national database on stolen, misappropriated, lost or canceled travel documents.
