HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović announced that formal talks with representatives of other political parties on the formation of ruling majorities at the cantonal, entity and state levels would begin tomorrow, adding that Croat political representatives are ready to complete this work by the end of 2022.
According to him, due to the amendments to the BiH Electoral Law, the national structure of certain office holders in the Federation of BiH is changing to a certain extent.
“Until now, it was normal for the Prime Minister and the speaker of the House of Representatives to be from the same nation, but now that is no longer possible. In any case, HDZ BiH with partners from HNS is ready to implement the election result quickly. We have taken the position that we will certainly form the government this year in all cantons, both entities and the Council of Ministers, that we will adopt budgets at all these levels, that we thereby show a step forward compared to the existing situation in the functioning of the executive and legislative authorities,” said the President of HDZ BiH.
Čović announced that he will hold his first official talks on Tuesday in Mostar with representatives of the eight political parties who have signed the Agreement on the formation of the parliamentary majority at all levels in BiH, led by SDP BiH, People, and Justice and Our Party, Fena news agency reports.
