Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Finance and Treasury, Zoran Tegeltija, today received the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH, Michael J. Murphy, with whom he discussed the planned activities in the upcoming mandate.
Ambassador Murphy congratulated Tegeltija on his appointment and wished him success in his future work as the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the meeting, it was pointed out that the department of finance is crucial for the functioning of institutions, but also for the implementation of economic reforms, which are the focus of the work of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Minister Tegletija emphasized that the preparation of the draft budget of the BiH institutions and international obligations of BiH for 2023 is one of the main priorities in the upcoming period, as the Decision on temporary financing for the first quarter of this year is currently in force.
Financial and fiscal stability, Tegeltija pointed out, are the main prerequisite for the successful implementation of economic reforms, as well as cooperation with international financial institutions, which are crucial for the started and planned infrastructure projects in BiH.
The interlocutors, Tegeltija and Murphy, agreed at the first bilateral meeting that in the upcoming mandate of the BiH Council of Ministers, it is necessary to continue economic reforms, in which the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH has an important role, the Ministry stated.
