The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, held a welcome reception for the delegation of the NATO Committee for Partnership and Cooperative Security (PCSC), led by Mr. James Mackey, on Wednesday at the Hall of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Helez expressed great satisfaction with the visit of the members of the NATO Committee, and pointed out that: “The purpose of this visit is very significant and that it comes at the right time when we are going through serious security challenges both globally and regionally.”
He added that the consequences of the war in Ukraine, we all feel it, both in political and security terms, and increasingly also in economic and energy terms. He expressed his gratitude to NATO and the European Union, which, through donor support packages, supported Bosnia and Herzegovina and its armed forces, in strengthening their capacities and combat readiness.
Helez said that Bosnia and Herzegovina will not falter on its Euro-Atlantic path, and that the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina remain a credible partner to the Alliance, ready to contribute to international peace and security.
A representative of the NATO Committee for Partnership, Mr. James Mackey, in his speech pointed out: “The committee is here with you today because Bosnia and Herzegovina is an important country for the NATO alliance.”
Today, the committee continues its activities dedicated to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina by visiting a number of military locations.
