The closing ceremony of this year’s Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival was held last night at the hall of the Armed Forces B&H.
Festival story of this year was closed in the same way as it was opened, by the organizers, the Dean of the Music Academy in Sarajevo prof. Dr. Ivan Čavlović, co- director of the Festival and pianist Dino Mulić and Executive Director SCMF Amila Ramović.
They emphasized that they are particularly pleased with the results achieved and thanked all those who in any way contributed to the realization of this year’s SCMF, and particularly the audience that faithfully followed all festival events.
After that, on the stage for the last time this year performed Manhattan String Quartet and their guests.
The first part of the concert was devoted to chamber pieces by Johannes Brahms, resident ensemble of the festival on the scene hosted prominent American clarinetist Stanley Drucker.
Sixty years ago this artist was a member of the prestigious New York Philharmonic Orchestra and as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and is the winner of the numerous awards for his long term work.
At the last concert of SCMF, the audience had the unique opportunity to listen to Brahms Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet, Op. 115 uh minor.
