An aid convoy of a total of 54 tow trucks left Sarajevo for Turkey this evening.

Tow trucks transport residential containers, food and hygiene products, blankets, sleeping bags, heaters, aggregates, clothes, shoes…

“We managed to fill 54 trucks exclusively thanks to donations from citizens and numerous companies. This is not the help of the organization Pomozi.ba, but the help of the residents of all Bosnia and Herzegovina, who responded in an incredibly large number to send support to the people who survived a great tragedy,” said the association Pomozi.ba, the organizer of this action.

The convoy will arrive in the city of Edirne in Turkey, where the donated goods will be taken over by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) and Turkish humanitarian organizations, which will forward them to the affected areas according to needs.

“This is just one part of the aid for people who survived the catastrophic earthquake and were left without everything they had. We remind you that a tow truck with heaters, generators, blankets and sleeping bags has already arrived in Turkiye. We will continue to provide help in the future according to the needs and information that we will receive from Turkey”, emphasized Pomozi.ba.

They stated that material things still cannot be sent to Syria, and that they are helping the population of that country financially with the help of humanitarian organizations located there.

“Until now, we have paid more than 100,000 BAM to organizations in Syria that distribute meals and food packages, procure tents, mattresses, sleeping bags and everything that is necessary for the vulnerable population. We will not stop there, but we will also send aid to this country in the coming period. “, pointed out from Pomozi.ba.
