We are in for a bombastic three days of interesting and decisive football matches, which can certainly change the standings. The overture to an exciting sports weekend includes four thrilling matches in the knockout phase of the Europa League.

Introduction to the weekend

Last night, matches filled with passion and the fight to progress further were played. The knockout stage of the Europa League brought four important clashes that delivered plenty of excitement.

Definitely, the most attractive match of the evening was played between Lyon and Manchester United in the southeast of France. In the last five matches, Lyon achieved four victories and is in quite good form, unlike United who has only two wins. In addition, the home-field advantage definitely favors Lyon.

English Premier League – what awaits us this weekend?

After exciting European clashes, the 32nd round of the Premier League brings thrilling matches that will shape the fate of the teams on the table. Here are the previews for four key matches expected tomorrow.

The current champion, Manchester City, continues its battle in the Premier League. This time, Crystal Palace comes to Etihad. City’s team is in good form, and with players like Erling Haaland, it will be a challenge for the visitors from London. Crystal Palace will have to rely on fast counterattacks if they want to surprise the hosts.

An exciting match will be played at the Emirates where Arsenal hosts Brentford. Arsenal, currently in second place, is in the title race where every point is of great importance. After an unexpected draw against Everton, Arsenal will be motivated to win. Brentford is playing well this season and can be a dangerous opponent.

The battle for survival and the top in Spain

Today, the 31st round of La Liga opens with a duel between Valencia and Sevilla. Valencia will seek an opportunity for another win at their stadium. Although currently in 14th place, ambitions have not vanished. Sevilla, on the other hand, although in a slightly better position, is not in the best form with three consecutive losses. However, the Sevilla team still shows great potential for victory.

Already tomorrow, Leganes will host Barcelona in a match that promises a lot of excitement. Leganes is currently fighting for survival, which gives them additional motivation to fight on the pitch, and every point is precious. Barcelona played its last match in a draw, so it’s possible that team morale has dropped.

On the same day, Getafe will host Las Palmas in an important match for both teams. Getafe is currently mid-table and is not under great pressure, but certainly doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to earn points. Las Palmas is in a battle for survival and every point they earn is of great importance. For Las Palmas, a win is crucial to maintaining hope for survival.

Leipzig hungry for points in Wolfsburg, while Bayern and Dortmund play for the top

The Bundesliga opens with an interesting match between Wolfsburg and Leipzig at Volkswagen Arena. Today, Wolfsburg will host Leipzig in a match that promises tempo and quality play. Wolfsburg is not in the best form with three consecutive losses, while Leipzig, currently fifth on the table, is certainly the favorite in this match.

Tomorrow at the iconic Allianz Arena, one of the biggest German derbies will be played. Bayern Munich hosts Borussia Dortmund, and this match could significantly affect Borussia’s position on the table. Bayern certainly wants to continue its winning tradition and stay at the top of the table, and it should be said that both teams are in quite good form.

Serie A: The top of the table under pressure – Milan, Inter, and Juventus chasing key points

In the northeast of Italy today, we expect an important duel for both teams for points on the table. The home team, although not in the best form, can definitely disrupt the plans of the favorites, and in their favor is the fact that they are playing at home in front of their fans. Milan comes with a desire for victory, but every mistake can cost them dearly. It must be acknowledged that it won’t be easy against the hosts.

Tomorrow at San Siro, Inter will host Cagliari in a match where the home team is the favorite. Although first on the table, every point is of great importance to Inter to keep that position. On the other hand, Cagliari is also looking to grab points in this match, but for every point, especially away, they will need luck, good play, and discipline.
