A large hangar for the collection of humanitarian aid was opened in the complex of the Center for Education, Sports and Recreation “Safet Zajko” on Saturday. The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are doing everything to support and help the citizens of Turkey and Syria who were left homeless and without their loved ones in the devastating earthquake.
Many volunteers from the municipality of Novo Sarajevo and Merhamet charity organization carefully pack and sort the goods donated by citizens – clothes, shoes, blankets, electric heaters.
When asked what they needed to donate, they said that they needed blankets, pillows, sheets, baby food, diapers, canned food, thermos bottles, diapers for children, but also adult diapers, electric heaters.
Since the February 6th earthquake shook Turkey and Syria, the citizens of BiH have been collecting donations to help the survivors in an organized manner, through humanitarian organizations.
Aid collection points are open throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are helping citizens in Turkey and Syria with donations, and more than 140 rescuers are on the ground, as well as a temporary unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina part of the Balkan Medical Forces (BMTF).
