A Meeting of the Task Force for Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings held

A meeting of the Task Force for Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings and Organised Illegal Immigration has been held at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, chaired by the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić.

The meeting was attended by the Task Force members from judicial, police, security and tax institutions from the state level, entity levels and the BiH Brčko District level, respectively. The meeting was attended by a representative of the European Commission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Central topics of the meeting pertained to the assessment of the situation regarding the migrant crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the activities of the Task Force members in specific cases, as well as cooperation and coordination of work with other competent bodies for the suppression of illegal immigration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and consideration of operational activities.

The joint conclusion from today’s meeting was that cooperation should be strengthened and that there should be coordination of the activities of all prosecutor’s offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina and police agencies in the fight against trafficking in human beings, as well as in the fight against corruption related to illegal migrations and asylum.
