A minor from Bileća was deprived of his liberty last night, because he committed the crime of terrorism in an attempt, Siniša Laketa, head of the Trebinje Police Department, said at a press conference.

He pointed out that the police officers had operational knowledge that one or more persons were preparing a terrorist act against a high school in the area of the city of Trebinje.

“Immediately upon finding out, the Special Department for the Suppression of Corruption, Organized Crime and the Most Serious Form of Economic Crime was notified, under whose supervision certain investigative actions were carried out. The actions that were carried out led us to the person from Bileća who is suspected of having committed the said criminal offense “, said Laketa, reports RTRS.

The person was deprived of liberty last night at 19:00 and handed over to the superior prosecutor’s office for further processing.

The Trebinje Police Department stated that searches were carried out of the house and auxiliary premises used by a minor and found items that could be brought in connection with the commission of the aforementioned criminal act.

“We would appeal to all parents to watch what their children do on the Internet, how they behave, as well as in what way and for what purposes they use social networks,” the police said.
