Part of the International Airport in Sarajevo was evacuated today in the afternoon after a suspicious backpack was found inside the airport.

The backpack was left at the check-in area of the airport, and after it was spotted, the passengers and employees were evacuated from the airport.

The part where the backpack was found is fenced off with yellow tape, and members of the services responsible for this problem have arrived at the airport, where the abandoned luggage will be inspected.

According to the statement of Sarajevo Airport officials, this procedure is under the jurisdiction of the BiH Border Police.

It should soon be known whether the abandoned luggage is a danger or just a matter of a forgetful passenger, Klix.ba reports.
