A Passenger Plane crashed in the Northeast of Afghanistan

An Indian passenger plane crashed in the province of Badakhshan, in the north-east of Afghanistan.

Zabihullah Amiri, director of culture and information for Badakhshan province, said the Indian passenger plane crashed in the Tohaka mountains, located between Kuran-Munjan and Zibak districts, Afghan media reported.

He noted that search and rescue teams were sent to the area where the accident happened in the morning.

For now, there is no information about the number of passengers on the plane.
