Two hundred thousand Scots have arrived this week for the European Championship, where their national team is competing in Group A, and they are giving it huge support in this competition.
On Friday night, at the opening of the championship, Scotland was defeated by Germany with a convincing score of 5:1, which certainly somewhat spoiled the mood of the fans who traveled from the island to Germany.
The great mood of Scotland fans before the match is best illustrated by a video that appeared on social networks, in which a Scotland fan can be seen in the subway recreating a scene from Mel Gibson’s legendary movie “Braveheart”, in which Gibson also plays the main role – William Wallace.
“Run and you’ll live—at least for a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to the next for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they can take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!”, is the original text of the speech of William Wallace’s character in the iconic film.

It was this text by Wallace (Gibson) that this Scotland fan said and the clip delighted fans on social networks.
The movie “Braveheart” was filmed in 1995 and tells the story of William Wallace, a Scottish warrior from the 13th century who, opposing the English king Edward I, fights for the independence of Scotland.
To recall, on Friday night Scotland played a disastrously pale game against Germany and was badly defeated 5:1, and in the next round, they will play against Switzerland. That match is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 p.m., Klix.ba writes.
