A Yellow Warning is in effect due to Fog in Bosnia

Due to the fog that reduces visibility, but also causes health problems for especially vulnerable categories of the population, a yellow warning is in effect throughout Bosnia.

Thus, a warning for fog in valleys is in effect in the Sarajevo, Tuzla and Bihać areas, while the same warning applies to the Banja Luka, Foča, Prijedor and Višegrad areas, also due to fog that is present in valleys and along rivers.

“Expect minor disruptions to outdoor activities. Be aware of locally dense fog. It can significantly affect routine outdoor activities. It can cause flight delays and airport closures, difficult driving conditions and longer travel times,” the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.

There is a lot of fog or low cloud cover throughout Bosnia. It is mostly sunny on the plateaus, mountains, southwest Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Air temperatures measured at seven o’clock were Sokolac -9, Livno -5, Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg -1, Bjelašnica, Bugojno and Srebrenica 1, Tuzla and Zenica 3, Bihać, Gradačac and Jajce 4, Bijeljina 5, Banja Luka, Doboj, Prijedor and Sanski Most 6, Trebinje 7, Mostar 10 and Neum 11 degrees Celsius.

Today there will be a lot of fog or low clouds throughout Bosnia, which may persist throughout the day. It will be mostly sunny on the plateaus and mountains, southwest Bosnia and Herzegovina. Light wind from the east and northeast. The highest daily air temperature is mainly between 3 and 9, in sunnier areas from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Long-lasting fog in Sarajevo. The highest daily air temperature is around 4 degrees Celsius.
