Additional Five Million Euro Loan for the Tram Line

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has determined and will submit to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Proposal of Agreement No. 1 on the Amendment to the Loan Agreement signed on February 1, 2023 (GrCF2 W2 E2 – Tram line Ilidža – Hrasnica) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and development.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina the signatory was proposed by the Minister of Finance and Treasury, it was announced after the session of the BiH Council of Ministers.

It is about five million euros of additional debt with allocation to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canton of Sarajevo – Ministry of Transport of Canton of Sarajevo. The repayment term is 15 years, with a grace period of three years and favorable EURIBOR interest.

The implementation of this project will improve the quality of public passenger transportation by introducing European standards, the protection of the natural environment, and the safety of employees and service users, which will increase the economic competitiveness of Sarajevo, according to the announcement.
