The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, arrived yesterday afternoon at the Mostar airport, which marked the establishment of a direct airline between Belgrade and Mostar.

Vucic, who is on a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) where he will attend the opening of the International Economic Fair in Mostar, was welcomed by the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Kristo, Mayor of Mostar Mario Kordic, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH) Dragan Covicand Prime Minister of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC)Marija Buhac.

After the ceremony on the occasion of the first regular flight from Belgrade to Mostar, a meeting between Kristo and Covicwith the Serbian president took place in the VIP lounge of the Mostar airport.

A direct airline between Belgrade and Mostar was established by the company “Air Serbia”.

“Embraer 175” planes will fly to Mostar three times a week – on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, the flight will last 50 minutes, and the price of a return ticket starts at 104 euros.

The contract between the City of Mostar, the Air Serbia company, and the Mostar airport was signed on February 2nd in the Mostar City Hall, renewing that line after more than 30 years.

“The Belgrade-Mostar airline is our interest, as well as the interest of BiH. These are our interests, it is a partner country, we are going to partner. It is good for our people, tickets will be very cheap and people will be able to travel from Nevesinje, Ljubinje, and Trebinje. Everyone will be able to use the Mostar airport,” Vucic explained earlier, Federalna writes.
