The Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH, Narod i Pravda and Naša stranka welcomed in a joint statement the appointment of the Government of the Federation of BiH headed by Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, and assessed that the multi-year blockade of the functioning of the government at this level has ended.

“We welcome the election of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by Nermin Nikšić, which ended the multi-year blockade of the functioning of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a reflection of the democratic will of the citizens, it has overwhelming support in both houses of the Parliament of the Federation and a clear majority of citizens. We believe that this will be the Government of all citizens, that they will equally represent the rights and interests of everyone, including those who did not vote for one of the parties that make up the parliamentary majority today. Joint work and the government and the opposition for the overall welfare of society and citizens are the main characteristics of mature democratic societies,” the statement reads. Threes.

From SDP BiH, Narod i Pravda and Our Party call on the new Government of the Federation of BiH to focus on the key challenges facing the Federation of BiH and with new energy and vision to start a reform process that will improve the quality of life of all citizens.

“From the exposé of the Prime Minister of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, the basic guidelines and tasks facing the new Government of FBiH are clearly indicated. After the four-year technical mandate of the previous Government and the complete halt of all reform processes, we expect that the new Government of FBiH and the new parliamentary majority will also have courage and a vision of how to improve all aspects of the work of FBiH institutions, that it will be especially focused on the implementation of necessary economic reforms, economic development, new investments, new jobs, increasing the standard of living, strengthening the rule of law and restoring transparency and fairness in all social processes. proposed by the coalition of Three parties to the new Government of the Federation, we demand dedicated work and dedication, we will be their support, but we will insist on the implementation of the measures and policies that were agreed upon and about which we heard from Prime Minister Nikšić’s exposé. We will work together, when and if the need arises, we will not catch up to criticize constructively”, the statement states.

The Thre once again called on all political actors to work together in the next 12 months to find the best solutions in order to prevent any kind of blockage and stoppage in the work of institutions.

“The imposed decisions of the high representative that will come into force next year prevent long-term blockages in the formation of authorities in the FBiH. And yet, we invite all political actors to work together to find even better solutions. A two-thirds parliamentary majority is necessary for changes to the Constitution, and we believe that the talks and finding a solution together is the best way,” the Three parties said in a joint statement.

As a reminder, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina voted yesterday at an extraordinary session to form a new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The appointment of the new government was confirmed with 51 votes for, two against and one abstention. As of today, Nermin Nikšić from SDP is the new Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
