Within the project ‘System of Social Housing (SHS)-Development of Integrated Model in Theory and Practice’, which is implemented by the humanitarian organization Hilfswerk Austria International, B&H Presidency, Foundation of Local Democracy and six municipalities in B&H signed an agreement yesterday in the building of the municipality of Tuzla on the implementation of the project with municipality Tuzla (as one of six municipalities within B&H), where this project will be implemented.
The project is based on the idea of developing a new model of sustainable social housing in B&H through the construction of six residential buildings in six municipalities. The aim of the project is to contribute to social stability in B&H through the improvement of the social security system, and beneficiaries of the project are vulnerable and socially disadvantaged families, single mothers with children, displaced persons and refugees, homeless people and many other vulnerable groups.
The total value of the project in all six municipalities is 1.679.115 Euros, and it will last 20 months. The project is mostly funded by EU funds.
In Tuzla, the project envisages the construction of a residential building with 16 apartments for socially vulnerable groups, and for which municipality Tuzla will allocated 200.000.000 KM, including land and all necessary permits.
