Representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BIH and Slovenia, Ismet Kumalić and Samo Hribar Milič signed an Agreement on Business Cooperation today in Sarajevo.

The President of the VTKBiH Ismet Kumalić said that trade with Slovenia comprises nine percent of the total trade of BiH with the rest of the world, which makes this country among the top five most important trade partners of BiH.

He said that he considers Slovenia the most important country for BiH now because “they know and understand us well, and also because of the experience with the process of EU integration that is before us’’.

Kumalić invited the Slovenian Foreign Trade Chamber to be a partner of the VTKBiH at this year’s ZEPS fair in Zenica, and Slovenian business people to have more direct investments in BiH.

The President of the Slovenian Foreign Trade Chamber Samo Hribar Milič said that the signing of today’s agreement is a step for Slovenian business people on the BiH market and vice versa, and business will be easier.

He expressed hope that the two chambers, with their members, could jointly appear on third markets. Here is where BiH business people will have good results, because small countries with small businesses, such linkages make them more competitive and more serious partners of these countries.

The Ambassador of Slovenia to BiH Andrej Grasselli said that these two countries in partnership should have better results and have mutual benefit.

After the signing of the agreement, there were business meetings of BiH and Slovenian business people in the headquarters of the VTKBiH.
