The agreement on the construction of the A1 Highway Poprikusee-Zenica North (Donja Gracanica), Vranduk – Ponirak area was signed on Wednesday in Mostar at the headquarters of the Public Enterprise Motorway of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aforementioned part of the highway will be built by the Azerbaijan-Herzegovinian consortium of Azvirt L.L.C and Herring from Siroki Brijeg. The contracts were signed by the directors Ahmet Murat Turkoglu and Mario Bevanda, and by the Director of the Motorway Adnan Terzic, and as a witness, the Federal Minister of Finance Denis Lasic.

The value of the Vranduk – Ponirak highway is 76.592.799,03 euros with VAT, and funds are provided through the OPEC International Development Fund (OFID).

The mentioned part of Poprikusa – Zenica north (Donja Gracanica), which continues to the northern part of Nemila – Vranduk and in the south to the subdivision of Ponirak – Vraca.

It is 5.3 km long and will be built with supporting walls, two bridges, three viaducts and a tunnel. The estimated construction period is 24 months.

Construction should begin within 30 days.

Director Terzic said that this is a very demanding share, but today also begins a new investment cycle that will soon resume by signing the contract on the Pocitelj – Zvirovici, on the Zenica tunnel and Vranduk – Nemila shares.

“Until summer vacations, additional 36 kilometers of the corridor should be built and I think that for this first phase and this investment cycle is a very demanding job,” Terzic said, Klix.ba news portal reports.
