Companies Ovako and Brovis, which are operating within the Akova Group, are two of the four companies that the Inspection of the European Commission for Health, Food, Audit, and Analysis, also known as Dublin inspection, gave a positive opinion on the granting of permits to export poultry to the market of the EU.
From Akova Group expressed great satisfaction with this decision and noted that it is a great honor to be among the four companies that were allowed to export their poultry meat. Permissions were also obtained by companies Madi and Agreks.
Emina Dzafic from the management of Akova said that this is a very important news for meat exports from BiH when it comes to the poultry sector, and towards 500 million residents, which they will use in the best way possible.
“What we are especially proud of is that within four companies that were selected to obtain a meat export permit in the EU are two companies from our group, Ovako, and Brovis Visoko, which are dealing with the production of fresh and frozen poultry meat. We are recognized as a brand, by state organs, and by the EU. This is a confirmation of years of our work and investment in this sector,” said Dzafic.
“Brovis has invested significant resources in the infrastructure and technology. Inspectors have established that fact, we fulfill all the criteria, and that is the reason why we have the opportunity to export for 500 million consumers. Domestic companies have always planned additional quantities for exports and we can always count on that 20 % of the expansion of production capacities. We are focused on satisfying the domestic market, and we can export all the surpluses,” said Nerves Bulaja, the director of Brovis.
“People who are looking for quality will certainly be satisfied with our products,” said Nedzad Biberovic and noted that he will continue to work on the contribution to the economy of BiH.
