Brazil’s civil defense confirmed that the bodies of 58 passengers and 4 crew members were recovered from the wreckage of the plane that crashed in Vinhead on Friday. It was announced that there were 34 men and 25 women.

The bodies were sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Sao Paulo for further identification and handover to the families.

The families of the victims were accommodated in a hotel in the central part of Sao Paulo. There are currently 38 families there. As Globo reports, they were provided with psychological support.

Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) released images of the opening of the two black boxes on the plane.

According to the agency, two flight recorders, popularly known as black boxes – Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR – Flight Data Recorder) were transferred to the Laboratory for Data Reading and Analysis flying. This data should reveal what went wrong on this flight.

For now, it is known that the plane flew for 1 hour and 35 minutes without any incidents, but then it made a sudden turn, plummeted 4,000 meters in 1 minute and disappeared from the radar.
