Fog “blocked” some parts of Sarajevo on Thursday eveninga and the worst situation was from Otoka to Ilidza settlement where traffic was difficult due to heavy fog and smog.

According to the Eco Action measurement at 7pm on Thursday, the air quality index was 379, which means that air is a health hazard.

“Serious consequences for the entire population! Any efforts should be avoided during your stay outside. The most vulnerable categories of the population: pregnant women, the elderly and children, people with respiratory and cardiac problems, should remain indoors,” was stated on the Eco-Action page.

Due to heavy fog and smog, several flights were canceled from Sarajevo International Airport. As stated in the afternoon, two landings were canceled at 19:25 and 20:30 o’clock. These are flights from Istanbul and Rome.

Earlier, flights to Zagreb, Rome and Istanbul were canceled as well.
