A flight operated by Fly Dubai is scheduled for today to Sarajevo, carrying 156 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and tourists from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was confirmed to Fena by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UAE, Bojan Đokić, who also announced the possibility of an additional emergency flight.
According to Đokić, if larger and more serious attacks occur in the UAE, the flight could be canceled.
“The security situation is changing from hour to hour. We are also working on the possibility of organizing an additional commercial flight to Sarajevo, and we will have more information during the day,” Đokić said.
He stated that life in the Emirates is functioning normally, with food and fuel available, and restaurants and shopping centers operating, although detonations can be heard in the distance at night.
Đokić emphasized that all those injured in recent days were harmed by fragments of intercepted missiles and drones.
“The situation is not alarming, but there is caution and uncertainty, as no one knows what will happen in the coming period,” he added.
A special communication group has been formed for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UAE, with more than 1,000 registered members, including individuals who are not citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina but have family members from the country.
“Among those registered are 150 to 200 tourists. In the event of evacuation via Saudi Arabia or Oman, tourists and people in transit will have priority,” Đokić said.
