Carriers announce new Border Blockades across BiH

After yesterday’s regional meeting with carriers from Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Belgrade, a decision was made to restart border crossing blockades on the 23rd of this month. The reason is that, this time, the 90/180 rule is still being applied selectively, arresting and, as they say, treating drivers inhumanely, as well as numerous internal issues that, the entity government transporters and the BiH Council of Ministers point out, have not even tried to solve.

We remind you that the Plenum of the Logistics Consortium of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Matuzići this Saturday.

Carriers have been warning for months that the road transport sector has reached a point where there is no more room to ignore problems that have been going on for 14 months. The Logistika Consortium makes a clear call to the competent state and entity institutions to urgently take responsibility and open operational discussions with the institutions of the European Union in Brussels.

“Today we held a plenum in order to reach a consensus, that is, the agreement of our members for the protests that will take place on March 23,” said Zijad Šarić, a member of the BiH Logistics Consortium.
