Japanese Ambassador to BiH Attends Handover Ceremony for Donated Ambulance to Local Healthcare Center

On 5th of February, AIKI Toshihiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, attended the hand-over ceremony of an ambulance vehicle to the Health Care Center

Stana Tomic in Pale, East Sarajevo City, held at the Health care center, in the presence of Ivan Šarac,

Director of the Health Care Center Stana Tomic in Pale and Dejan Kojic, Mayor of Pale municipality, East Sarajevo City.

The Director of the Health Care Center in Pale, Ivan Šarac expressed his great gratitude for the donated ambulance vehicle and medical equipment installed in the vehicle, which will lead to a significant improvement of the services that the Health Care Center provides to patients. Ambassador AIKI expressed his hope that the assistance will bring great benefit to the residents of Pale, East Sarajevo City and beyond.

Through the program ” Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GAGP)” , the Government of

Japan granted 49,891 Euro (approx. 97,580 BAM) to the Health Care Center in Pale, East Sarajevo City for

equipping with an ambulance vehicle and medical equipment installed in the vehicle. The project is expected to contribute to the improvement of transportation service and timely provision of medical aid for more than 156 patients annually.
