8664The Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić received the Ambassador of Spain to BiH yesterday Maria Aurora Mejia Errasquin.

The mayor took this opportunity to thank her for the help and support of Spain to Sarajevo for the construction of the City Hall. He spoke to the Ambassador about the dynamic work on City Hall, and said that it is not a coincidence that by the middle of next year it will fully shine.

“Next year in our city, we will mark 100 years from the beginning of the First World War and 30 years since the XIV Winter Olympic Games. On this occasion, the Vienna Philharmonic will send a musical message of peace and international friendship from the City Hall to citizens of Sarajevo, BiH and the entire world’’, said Komšić and expressed the wish for Spain to be actively involved in the project “Sarajevo-European Bridge of Culture 2014”.

The Ambassador added how she will follow the tradition of good relations and cooperation between the Kingdom of Spain and BiH, as well as the sister cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Sarajevo.
