Ambassador Wigemark attends commemoration in Potocari Memorial Centre

Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and European Union Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador Lars Gunnar Wigemark paid respect to victims of the Srebrenica genocide. The remains of 35 persons were buried in Potocari Memorial Centre today, the 23rd anniversary of the genocide.

This commemoration reminds us of one of the darkest moments of humanity and modern European history, and of our responsibility to prevent such an atrocity from ever happening again. The European Union will continue to support the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to overcome the legacy of the past and advance the country on its European path.
