The Mayor of the Stari Grad Municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, planted lindens together with the ambassadors of the United States of America, the Kingdom of Spain and Kuwait at the Ambassadors’ Alley today.

Including the ones planted today, this promenade in Stari Grad has 195 linden trees, according to the Stari Grad Municipality.

Hadžibajric reminded that this tradition was introduced in 2000.

He points out that, as of today, six American and six Spanish ambassadors have planted trees in this promenade, and three from Kuwait.

The US Ambassador to BiH, Eric Nelson, planted the first one today and expressed his satisfaction with the participation in the project and stressed that this tradition is a testimony to the international community’s engagement here on BiH’s path to success, Federal News Agency reports.
