Amel TukaAthletic team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won two medals at the Balkan Indoor Championship in Istanbul.

The most successful was Amel Tuka who won a gold medal on 800 m with the result of 1:48:86.

Young Mesud Pezer won the bronze medal in a shot put with the result of 19,36 meters.

His club colleague Hamza Alic had a slightly weaker performance than it was expected and with the result of 18,91 m finished at the 5th place, was announced from the Athletic Federation of BiH.

A young high jumper Nikolija Stanivukovic had also won the 5th place with the result of 1,73 m.

From the other three representatives from BiH (Damir Redzepagic, Svjetlana Graorac and Srdjan Samardzic), who haven’t achieved significant placements, young Redzepagic should be set aside. Redzepagic has run 400 m for solid 50,29 s, which was enough for the 10th place.
Around 250 competitors from 15 countries have participated at the Balkan Championship.
