Tuka3Amel Tuka was proclaimed as the best athlete of the Balkans for 2015 in the election of the Association of Balkan Athletics Federations (ABAF).

This award is well-deserved since this year Amel won the title of Indoor Champion at the 20th Balkan Indoor Championship in Istanbul with a time of 1: 48.86, and he won the bronze medal with a time of 1: 45.84 at the World Championship in Beijing.

Also, Tuka set the time 1.42,51 as the best time of the year on 800 meters in the world, which is also the new Balkan record that was so far kept by Luciano Susanj from Croatia.

Tuka will receive his award on the 18th of November at a gala dinner of ABAF in Tbilisi, Georgia.
