The most successful B&H athlete, Amel Tuka, will perform on Friday, the 17th of July at the athletic meeting “Diamond League” in Monte Carlo, and will be our first athlete who participated on this prestigious competition, which gathers the biggest names from the world of athletics.
After the successful performance in Madrid, Amel Tuka immediately received an invitation to perform in Monte Carlo and thus achieved his childhood dream to participate on the top world’s competitions.
“Yes, my dream came true, and on Friday, the first day of Eid, I will perform at the meeting “Diamond League” in Monaco. This is really a great challenge for me, since I love to perform with those who are better than me, they always give me a new challenge to test myself and see how much I can achieve. There is possibility that I might perform on the next meeting of ‘Diamond League’ in London, which will take place on the 25th of July,” said Tuka.
His training base at the moment is a small mountain place Brunico in Italy, where he is preparing with the Italian coaches, 2000 meters above the sea level.
All his current plans are focused on his first performance at the World Cup, where they will try to achieve a result for the Annals of B&H sport.
