Since this morning, there has been an increase in the value of polluting PM 10 particles in the Sarajevo Canton, which exceed the limit values (50 micrograms of particles per cubic meter) at all measuring points.

The highest measured hourly values of PM10 today at 1 pm were recorded at the Vogošća measuring station, amounting to 130 μg/m3, and at the Otoka measuring station 120 μg/m3. 96 μg/m3 particles were measured in Ilijaš, 87 μg/m3 in Hadžići, 76 μg/m3 in Ilidža and 65 μg/m3 particles in Vijećnica.

According to the weather forecast of the FBiH Hydrometeorological Institute, precipitation is expected tonight as well, and similar weather conditions are forecast for tomorrow. Due to the possibility of a temperature inversion tomorrow morning, it is not recommended to stay outside for sensitive categories of the population.

A more significant improvement in air quality is expected on Friday, due to the wind and rising temperatures, announced the Press Service of the Sarajevo Canton.
