This Annual Bulletin represents a compilation of the monthly data on Consumer Price Indices from the January to December of 2016. The entire dataset presented in statistical tables, graphs and their analyses for the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is divided according to divisions and groups of the COICOP classification.

For each month of the year 2016 the consumer price indices are presented. This Bulletin also contains the average annual indices compared to the base year 2010. The information provided explains the overall indices by months and the share of each COICOP division in annual price change calculated as the average of the year 2016 in respect to the average of the year 2010, December of 2015 and the same month of previous year. Average annual inflation in the year 2016 in respect to the year 2015 If we consider the average 2016 CPI flow at the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in respect to the situation registered in 2015, we can conclude that the average deflation in that particular year was 1,1%.

If we compare an average inflation rates in 2016 and 2015 as the base year it is noticeable that following divisions presented a price decrease: Food and nonalcoholic beverages by 1,1%, Clothing and footwear by 8,8%, Furniture and furnishing by 1,1%, Transport by 5,2%, Communications by 1,0%, Recreation and Culture by 0,1%, Restaurants and Hotels by 0,5% and Other goods and services by 0,2%. The increase of price levels, on average, was recorded only in divisions of Alcoholic drinks and beverages by 7,4%, Health by 0,5%, Education by 1,1%, Restaurants and Hotels by 0,5% and Housing and utilities by 0,3%.

The data on the consumer price movements have been collected uniformly since the year 2005, and first results were published at mid 2007 which was the starting point for the regular publication of the CPI data.
