Analysis: Football Federation of B&H about past Qualifications

FF BiH on Qualifications faktor.baAnother qualification cycle for the A national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the qualifications for the European Championships in France, has ended.

Unfortunately, the BH national team players did not manage to win against the national team of the Republic of Ireland in the playoffs and thereby once again make the BH citizens happy, especially the fans who supported them during every match.

The desired result was not achieved, despite of the efforts by the Football Federation of B&H to stabilize the situation in the national team after the initial defeats in the qualifications. There was certain success in that after the arrival of Mehmed Baždarević as the coach of the national team; unfortunately, only until the matches of the playoffs in which the BH national team, in addition to all other unfavorable conditions, played bellow real possibilities.

After going to the World Championships in Brazil in 2014, the fans and the Federation as well expected that the series of successes continues in the qualifications for EURO 2016, with understandable optimism. That did not happen. Due to this, the Federation, together with the coach and the players, expresses regret, as well as gratitude to the true fans, media and sponsors who supported the national team in all victories and all defeats, even in the most recent and the most painful defeat of all- by Ireland in Dublin.

However, victories and defeats are an indispensable part of football game. The qualifications cycle for the European Champion will be analyzed in detail by the Football Federation and conclusions will be included in the future plans. At the same time, the Football Federation of B&H has already started planning the forthcoming obligations and working on new projects.

Within the Federation there is complete unity and desire to maintain stable atmosphere that characterized the work of the umbrella house of football in B&H during past years. It has been shown that this approach yields results, and those results reflected primarily through going to the World Championships in Brazil, partly through the qualifications cycle for EURO (except for the playoffs), but also through organizational and financial consolidation and progress achieved in the Premier League of B&H and other competitions.

There are intentions to maintain such attitude in the future as well. The Federation has a precise strategic work program and objectives that are to be accomplished. Members of the Federation leadership have a clear notion of strength and future of BH that they will strive to accomplish and realize with the support of professional teams, general public, media, and former and future sponsors. The ultimate aim is absolutely stable national football organization in B&H in which new talents will be given an opportunity for development and affirmation. There are plenty of new talents in B&H and they can rapidly become new stars such as Edin Džeko and other former and current national team players.
