During the last year, 10,525 new cars were imported into BiH. Most of these were imported by legal entities, while only 180 citizens bought new cars directly abroad. When buying new cars in BiH, citizens bought one-third of the total number of sold cars, or more precisely 3.584 vehicles.

A total of 10,990 new vehicles were sold by licensed distributors in BiH, and one-third of that number were purchased by private individuals and the rest by companies.

Among the best-selling new models are those from the Škoda (Octavia), Volkswagen and Golf and Passat, followed by Peugeot, Dacia Duster, Opel Astra, Hyundai, Toyota and Renault, Mercedes, Suzuki, Citroen, Kia and others.

Among the private individuals who bought new vehicles last year, 180 was bought directly from abroad, imported and registered in BiH.

A total of 82,905 cars were imported in BiH. Of this number, 72,380 used and 10,525 new vehicles were imported. At first glance, this information sounds optimistic when it comes to economics.

However, the facts show that citizens mostly imported used vehicles, while new ones are mostly bought by companies.
