Analysis of Prices of Oil Derivates in the Federation od BiH

The prices of oil derivatives in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have increased significantly in the last year, so at the beginning of 2023 the price of gasoline is 11.44 percent higher compared to the beginning of 2022, while in the same period, the price of diesel jumped by 24.35 percent.

According to information from the FBiH Ministry of Trade, the prices of oil derivatives fell compared to last month, but are significantly higher compared to the beginning of 2022.

The range of retail prices of oil derivatives at gas stations in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 6, 2023 was from 2.41 BAM to 2.96 BAM per liter for gasoline, and from 2.71 BAM to 3.06 BAM per liter for diesel.

The average retail price of oil derivatives in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently 2.63 BAM per liter for premium unleaded gasoline, which is 11.44 percent more compared to the beginning of 2022, while the price of a liter of diesel is 2.86 BAM, which is 24,35 percent more compared to January last year.

The FBiH Ministry of Trade notes that the decision on the maximum amount of margins for petroleum products is still in force.
