The real growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, amounted to 2.2 percent.
The seasonally adjusted data series shows a GDP growth of 1 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH.
A significant real growth of gross added value was recorded in the construction sector, with an increase of 8.9 percent in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same quarter last year.
GDP measured by the expenditure approach in the second quarter, compared to the same quarter last year, recorded a growth of 2.2 percent.
The seasonally adjusted data series for the same period shows a positive GDP growth rate of 0.7 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter.
When observing GDP categories by the expenditure approach in the second quarter, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, real growth was recorded in all categories: household consumption grew by 1.8 percent, government consumption by 1.9 percent, gross investments by 9.6 percent, exports of goods and services by 1.8 percent, and imports of goods and services by 5.2 percent.
