Analysis: To which Country this Situation in the Middle East suits the best?

Military analyst Marinko Ogorec commented on the new situation in the Middle East and the attack by Hamas on Israel.

The death toll in the conflict between Hamas and Israel that began on Saturday is rising unstoppably. Clashes continue in several locations near the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army claims to have attacked more than a thousand targets.

A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces said on Sunday that this was “by far the worst day in the history of Israel.”

“I think the main reason for this attack is the negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Israel on the recognition of Israel. If Saudi Arabia also recognizes Israel, there will be an adjustment of international relations on the regional level, a new dynamic of relations in the Middle East will begin, which will push Iran and its role into the background. Iran doesn’t want that, it considers itself an important factor in the Middle East, which it still is, and Hamas is its extended arm. We can’t point the finger at anyone, but this situation suits Iran best.”

According to previous reports, Hamas has more than 100 prisoners, and Ogorec believes that these hostages will be used as human shields primarily to channel the operations of the Israeli army.

“It will also be used for negotiation. It’s hard to say what will happen to the hostages, I’m not sure that they have a good fate,” he said.

This is the second time in Israel’s history that it has been surprised like this, the military analyst points out: “Who failed? All of them, in short, the entire security system of Israel. The intelligence service failed miserably, Hamas launched thousands of missiles, and someone had to bring them. When it’s all over, Israel will have to examine the performance of its services.”

When asked if Jerusalem is Hamas’ goal, Ogorec answers:

“No, this is a finished situation as far as Hamas is concerned. They made a terrible act of terrorism, an unparalleled carnage, comparable to that of September 11th in New York, both in terms of organization and scale. Israel has now consolidated, it will fight back with full force. Hezbollah has not yet responded as expected. If there was a stronger escalation of violence, it would be a more serious problem for Israel, because they would have to separate their forces into two fronts – northern and southern.”

He adds that the United States (U.S.) support was to be expected given their traditionally allied relations: “I think the U.S. aircraft carrier is just a demonstration of power, Israel does not need U.S. military aid.”

“This is when this war in the Middle East could end”

The conflict in the Middle East suits Vladimir Putin, reveals Ogorec. But more and more Western countries are withholding military aid to Ukraine. “That conflict has been going on for almost two years. Western countries have almost emptied their arsenals, they have been helping Ukraine as much as possible. But their options are running out. The U.S. must help Israel. I don’t think the support will be as generous as before,” explaineda military analyst.

“I expect that this war in the Middle East will end in a few weeks, it is not the type of war that would last like in Ukraine,” he adds.

He also points out that Hamas should not be confused with Palestine and that Palestine will be a collateral victim:

“We must not confuse Hamas with the Palestinians. Palestine will be a collateral victim of Hamas terrorism. Hamas has done something unprecedented, the 24-hour atrocities cry out for revenge from the Israelis. It is to be expected that Israel will be more brutal than usual. The Gaza Strip is perhaps the most densely populated area on the planet and collateral casualties are inevitable.”

A new migration wave and a new refugee crisis are to be expected, he concluded, N1 reports.
